In this final lesson for us in 1 Samuel Chapter 17, we see in verse 48 that David does what every believer in Christ should do when faced with fear. He runs. He runs straight to Goliath!
We wait on the Lord, but not our enemies. That’s how you deal with fear. You attack it. You face it! You don’t wait to see what it will do to you, instead, you get after it.
Yes, we are good people, we can be nice, but when our fears challenge what God has said about us, we cannot back down. We cannot break down. I am who HE says I am even if I am crying. I speak the words of God through my tears! Why? Because the Lord will deliver the spirit of fear (Goliath) into my hands. I will not be the victim of paralyzing fear because I have the victory with Jesus Christ.
It will be hard at first, but remember, we serve the only true and living God so we should not fear anyone but Him. We can’t help feeling scared or afraid sometimes, but remember that we have been born again. We are not that baby anymore. Starting today, let us face our fears with faith in Christ. When we face fear, whether a person or a situation, don’t be quiet; make some noise. Read and speak the Word of God. Call His name and ask for His help.
When you conquer your fear, don’t leave room for it to return. Be finished with that person. Don’t go back into that situation. Remain in the Word of God and those fears will never rule over you again!!!
Are you ready to live fearlessly? I am praying for your victory. Amen
